Mistral Productions was founded under the umbrella company of Brownswood Music Ltd in the Autumn of 2013 by Gilles Peterson and Simon Goffe, and in 2018 they were joined by executive producer Dan Moss. Mistral brings the continued expansion of Brownswood Music to include content design and creation capabilities.

Gilles Peterson
Creative Director, DJ, Curator

Gilles is a Sony Award-winning DJ, presenter, broadcaster and curator, who has significantly influenced the landscape of contemporary music over the last two decades, through his radio shows and his executive production/A&R work. Gilles launched Brownswood Music Ltd in 2005 alongside business partner Simon Goffe, and the label Brownswood Recordings followed in 2006.

Gilles curates the Worldwide music festivals in France and Switzerland every year, as well as the Worldwide Awards in London every January. He presents a weekly BBC Radio 6Music show as well as his internationally syndicated Worldwide Show, and was recently awarded the 2013 Indie Champion Award by the Association of Independent Music.

Simon Goffe
Managing Director

Simon started out as a DJ, club promoter and journalist before moving into promotion and marketing, setting up Heavyweight Management in 1990. He managed Roni Size for 10 years, during which time Roni won the Mercury Music Prize. Simon then became Senior A&R manager at Universal Music publishing before starting Brownswood Music alongside Gilles in 2005.

Whilst overseeing the running of the record label, publishing and events company, Simon has facilitated brand partnerships with Havana Club, Eurostar, and K Swiss.

Dan Moss
Executive Producer

Before joining Mistral, Dan managed specialist programmes for BBC Radio 1 and BBC Radio 1Xtra at independent production company Somethin' Else, working with a team of producers and DJs to cover an array of underground music for eight years. He also produced Gilles Peterson's BBC 6 Music show every Saturday afternoon and has worked with numerous brands, developing new formats, brands and concepts for audiences.

Dan is Station Manager at Worldwide FM, our award winning platform for underground music, culture and stories from around the globe. The station is based in East London, with branches in Berlin, Kyoto, Los Angeles, Paris, Rio, Tokyo and beyond.
